Add to your marine experience that on Airstream/Argosy's water leaks can come from anywhere above the point they show up and from several feet to the side. In other words the leak may just as likely coming from the marker lights or the joint between the wing and front window.

Leaks are one of those things we don't tell you about until after you buy your coach.

Saw a great solution for that once and have used it myself
numerous times but never had the opportunity to share it with anyone.
Instead of going back with the bar, find yourself a couple of very nice
heavy nickle kitchen cabinet knobs. Fasten where bar holders used to be
on either side of the oven door facing.
Never worry about it again and gives a more contemporary appearance.

You're welcome

Another thought is use something to match your 70s Argosy interior.

Thumbs up Re: hello new to airstream old to camping

Well trailer is now a nice marshmellow white, blue stripes being done, new inserts coming from Outdoor RV in NC, as well as new furnace, tweety's, awning material, Scotties Canvas, electric jack Ebay Baker (going up and down gets old real quick with a crank), found nice dark green upholstery for newly cut foam cushions and tore up the floor to put down oak tongue and groove floating floor. Next step is to recoat the sink and tub and redo the countertops with a nice ivory (orange be gone). Thanks to everyones help new tires to be installed soon, what fun finding tires.
